Hunter & Hilsberg, an American and a German, started the company in 1995 while both were living in Europe. The company founders missed the taste and quality of real American gourmet foods. If products from the U.S. were available in stores or catalogs, there were usually mass-produced, lower quality brand names. Their endeavor to bring American gourmet foods and wine to Europe was then underway. The company seeks out award-winning producers of gourmet foods and unique wines in the USA and brings these products directly to Europe. Selling directly, without middlemen, guarantees he customer the highest quality, most unique selection available at the lowest possible prices.

As a mail-order house and as a wholesaler, we are as much a service company as we are a purveyor of fine food and wine. It is therefore our goal to provide our customers with informative, friendly and flexible services. Many of our foods, wines, and services have been recommended to us by customers. We are always open to suggestions and comments.
