Don't be fooled - Yankees in the north enjoy corn bread muffins, too, especially when dipped in maple syrup. Our mix can also be used as a base for cornbread stuffing, which is a favorite at traditional "Thanksgiving" and Christmas meals. Special recipes accompany the mix. - Mix with hamburger meat when cooking to make spicy hamburgers or tacos.
- Make Sloppy Joes by adding a spoonful while cooking hamburger meat, onions and green peppers, and then add tomato sauce. Cook and then serve on a sliced roll.
- If you then add Kidney beans to this whole combination, you wind up with one spicey bowl of our famous Southwestern Chili.
- For the more adventurous, add a dash of the mix to softened butter. Whip together and let cool in the refrigerator. Serve alongside breads or potato meal as a spicy Southwestern-flavored butter.
